Of course, classroom learning is only a means, but certainly not the end and that is why we foster a life-long learning approach into our innovative curriculum and learning environment.
We stand as one of Thailand’s 9 research universities but we come first regarding research publications per capita. The endless efforts put together in KMUTT think-tank ensure our strengths in multidisciplinary academic programmes.
KMUTT students’ common traits lie in their eagerness to make an impact to the society at large. Part of our science-based training is to instill acquisition of responsibilities onto generations to come.

QS World university rankings
The QS World University Rankings by Subject highlights the world’s top universities in a range of popular subject areas, covering 42 subjects as of 2016. Published annually since 2011, the rankings are based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.
KMUTT is indeed well known for our innovative programs and strong curricula in science, technology and engineering. In addition, we have developed a reputation for outstanding research, skilled and proficient graduates, distinguished faculty members and effective supporting staff. As the first government institute to become an autonomous university in Thailand, we are better equipped to service the needs of our students and to direct research to real industrial and community issues. Currently, strong emphasis is being placed on knowledge integration, that is, how graduates make use of their acquired knowledge or apply knowledge to practical work situations.
